How security film works

Glass that holds together.

Security film is a thick, clear or tinted film with a strong adhesive, bonded to the inside of the glass you already have. It doesn’t make glass unbreakable.

When the glass is hit, the film holds the broken pieces together and keeps them in the frame, so anyone forcing their way in has to keep striking the same opening. That adds time.

For schools

One layer of a safety plan.

Main entrances, vestibules and ground-floor glass are where a forced entry would start. Security film slows someone down at that glass and adds time.

It works best as one layer of a school’s safety plan, alongside locked vestibules, cameras and trained staff.

For storefronts

Slow down smash-and-grab.

Smash-and-grab thieves count on breaking a window or door and being gone in seconds. Film keeps that glass bonded together after an impact, so clearing an opening becomes slow and loud.

It also helps keep broken glass from spraying into the store.

Attachment systems

Anchored to the frame.

On entry doors and large panes, film can be anchored to the window frame with an attachment system, so the whole pane stays in place after it breaks. We’ll tell you which openings may need one when we walk your building.

What it costs

Quoted at your site.

Security film is quoted at your site, because the price depends on the film thickness and whether an attachment system is needed. We come to you and send a written or digital quote.
