Glare Reduction Window Film
Glare is too much visible light reaching your eyes or your screen. Window film reduces it at the glass, so you can keep the view and the blinds open.

Why glare is worst in a Siouxland winter
In winter the sun sits low in the sky, so it shines straight through windows instead of over them. Add sunlight bouncing off snow, and glare can come from below as well as above.
How VLT relates to glare
VLT (visible light transmitted) is the share of visible light a film lets through. The lower the VLT, the more glare control, and the darker the glass looks. The goal is the lightest film that solves the problem, which is why we show samples on your windows.
Glare and heat are different problems
Glare comes from visible light. Solar heat gain includes energy from visible light and infrared radiation, so glare reduction and heat rejection are different performance measures. Some films reduce solar heat with relatively little change in brightness. Tell us which one bothers you most. Solar control film →
Neutral or reflective?
Neutral films soften glare with a natural look. Reflective and dual-reflective films cut more glare and add daytime privacy, with a mirrored look from outside.
Where it helps
Offices. Workstations facing south or west, where monitors wash out in the afternoon. Office window film →
TV rooms. Living rooms and basements where the screen is hard to see.
When blinds are still the better tool
If you need full darkness at certain times, such as a bedroom or a media room, blinds or shades still do that best. Film handles everyday glare; window coverings handle blackout.
